Race track in the Eifel

THE NÜRBURGRING

Opened in 1927, the traditional race track has been transformed into a year-round adventure destination - with an eventful past that still fascinates today.

Silver Arrows, „Green Hell“ and plenty of material for real legends: The Nürburgring is a fixture in German motorsport history and is considered one of Germany's most famous national monuments. Initially, the engineers designed a 28.3-kilometer circuit with various track variants, including the then 22.8-kilometer Nordschleife. In November 2007, the expansion of the Nürburgring into a year-round leisure and business center began. The most important milestone in its history since the construction of the Nordschleife in 1927 and the addition of the Grand Prix circuit in 1984. Weather-independent presentation and event areas such as the ring°arena, additional leisure facilities for fans and tourists - ring°werk and ring°boulevard - as well as comfortable hotels in the immediate vicinity of the race track and a family-friendly vacation park are the central building blocks of the project.

The Nürburgring offers top-class motorsport events, leisure attractions related to mobility and engines, fun and edutainment for all ages, professional business and event location - what was opened in 1927 as a venue for car races has long since offered motorsport experiences and entertainment all year round, e.g. tourist rides on the Nordschleife (Ringtaxi), drift and driving safety training.
